A Woman's Ring ReviewFrom reading this book, I understand that this is Rea Frey's first novel. She shows excellent promise as a writer. This isn't simply a book about learning to box. It is a book about the importance of dreams. Katherine Sinclair is the novel's dreamer, who learns about a sport at her daddy's knee and has the grit to overcome numerous obstacles and the drive to succeed and to become her own hero in her life.
This is a scrappy little story, told about a fascinating, well-defined character who reaches high to make her dreams come true. As a writer, I was impressed both by Ms. Frey's gritty imagery and her knowledge of boxing. She catches you from her Preface and you're hooked when you find out about Katherine's background and bravery in admitting her mistakes and resolving to fight for her long-coveted goal.A Woman's Ring Overview
