Post-Car Adventuring: The San Francisco Bay Area ReviewThis is delightful little book, full of good advice and some great trips. I particularly related to Napa and Sonoma which should include Lake County since it covers Harbin Hot Springs. There are so many great bike trips both on and off road that begin and end at the Springs. One great off road trip is to follow the dirt road through Harbin that ends at Cobb Mountain State Forest, full of single track. You can get a map in the office, ask about the condition of the road. It is often washed out and can be impassable. Also it is easy to get lost so a GPS could come in handy. A road trip is to head down hwy 29 and turn right on Tubbs just before Calistoga. If you are lucky the geyser will go off as you pass. Continue right to Ida Clayton this becomes Western Mines at the Napa/Lake county line and turns to dirt and ends at hwy 29 just outside Middletown.Post-Car Adventuring: The San Francisco Bay Area Overview
